In 2002, I worked at a weight-loss clinic leading groups regarding weight-loss, managing emotions, and dealing with triggers to overeating. At that time, I conducted therapy both in English and in Spanish with people with cancer and their relatives. In the year 2000, I had my first supervised clinical experience as a master’s level psychology student working at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.
